I don't like how my Chinese phone doesn't work here in America.

My girl's mom got us all Huawei phones and because of some stupid chip embargo or whatever (America thinks the Chinese want to spy on us with their phones, God forbid they do America's job for them) so now I basically have a paperweight worth a few hundred dollars.

So I'm thinking about getting a Xiaomi Redmi Note. You know, until faggot ass apple gets that one banned for some bullshit reason too.

China makes the quality of an Apple phone at the price of an Android. And we're not allowed to have them because Steve Job's corpse says we can't.

I used to have a Mi Mix 2. It was a great phone until I left it sitting on the back of my truck and started driving. I spent hours backtracking and looking for it and never found it sadly.

It was one of the few Xiaomi phones that worked properly with Verizon at the time. After I lost it I went back to my old trusty Samsung Galaxy S6 for a while before becoming one of the first guinea pigs to buy the Sony Xperia 1 Mk3. The software was, is, and always will be buggy as hell but the hardware has been great. I sure wish someone would get Linux going on it so I can finally ditch Android.

If the Redmi Note supports the correct bands for the American cell carrier you plan to put it on, it should work fine regardless of what Tim Cook says.

Why not just buy a second hand iPhone? I have a 11 Pro and I don't plan to get rid of it, before it dies. Just because they release new phones with little to no real upgrade, does not mean you have to buy it. And very few people use their phones for heavy shit which makes old phones "bad".
The good thing with them releasing a new one every year, is that older ones gets cheaper

I used my Galaxy S6 for as long as I could, it was a great phone. But software gets too big and bloated for old phones and sometimes you need the new version.

I had an iPhone 4 and I hated every aspect of it. I'm not going back to iOS.

What kind of software do you need on your phone? I always go for the lowest specs and haven't had a need for something more. Only reason I got Pro, is because of screen size.

Could just get a dumbphone too, that's trendy now.
