No. Daniel is trying to make it a big deal though, it seems. Probably to try and pressure Ken into banning the people who are in it so they can quit being mean and calling out his retardation on OF.

I did make a user on OF yesterday, and I used the same mail as here. I still haven't gotten a confirmation mail, after clicking on re-send several times. I got it immediately here tho.

I haven't really been following the OF lore closely, but from what I understand. Is that Ken is deleting aka censoring too much

After crushing the political forums down into one last week, as well as merging all the Donald Trump threads, Ken has decided to split the forum up again. Notably, the Donald Trump thread has been carved up into the threads he presumably wanted his users to make rather than the threads they actually made.

Running out of disk space because you don't have a cron job to delete old backups definitely could cause the 45 minute outage we saw earlier today.

It is absolutely not the cause of the random 1 minute or less outages we're currently seeing.

One would hope these backups are making it off the production machine and being stored elsewhere, though. Otherwise, there's a chance of Total Onion Death if and when the storage medium shits the bed.
