Guests are a pretty poor metric to judge a forum anyway. If people aren't logging in, people aren't posting and your website is fucking dead. 1000+ fake guests won't change that.

Though I am focused on efficiency here on Lounge 96, my workflow for OF was a bit different. Instead of converting png to webp, I would concatenate a png with 31 megabytes of random garbage and then upload the resulting file. Your web browser will read the first 100k or whatever and decode the image, but continue to download the other 31 megabytes of garbage. Just my friendly fuck you to Ken.

There were 55 guest users accessing Lounge 96 just a few minutes ago. 12 of them are viewing threads; this number seems kinda high to be honest. It's possible that a few of these are scrapers who are trying to hide what they're doing, I have seen a few IPs that trace back to LLM-adjacent companies. I'd guess maybe 8 of these guests are real people. Due to the widespread use of Tor and VPNs, it's really hard to say for certain. The remainder of the 55 are viewing errors, aka they've navigated to a page that doesn't exist. I suppose I could dig into the http access logs to see what they're requesting.

By the way, here's what's going on at Onion Farms at the same time:
