A lynch mob means that you were scaring this woman so much she had to seek outside help and that outside help blamed you for what happened. How was the harassment case simultaneously a nothingburger but also so serious you had to consult with a lawyer? Did you follow this woman home? Did you touch her without permission? You keep insisting nothing happened serious but you also won't share what you did that scared or offended the other party, meaning whatever it was makes you look like a criminal aggressor.

The meeting involved me an administrator and a police officer from the Augusta - Richmond County Police who played the part of bad cop to a tee. The female student in question told the instructor who reported this to her boss. I didn't know anything until he called me down to the office. To an ordinary person it would certainly give the appearance of a lynch mob mentality. Both the student and my instructor were African American. In a situation like this you already have a strike against you as a white male. It's unfair but it probably gives you some insight on what African-Americans may have suffered when they were unfairly accused.
Before you sit there and start rattling on about me being anti-police, police are trained in interrogating people of interest. They are legally allowed to lie and mislead suspects when interrogating them. They know how to play bad cop and good cop. The bad cop is to interrogate and disorient the person hoping he will slip up. Then the good cop comes in and apologizes over the bad cop's nasty attitude and reassures you to tell your side of the story and clear things up (hint, hint on what he's really trying to do).
And yes any lawyer worth his salt will tell you to let him do the talking

No. The student in question was not from Nigeria. My interest comes from the fact that there is a religious division in Nigeria with the south being predominately Christian and the north being predominately Muslim.
Have you considered Indians? They too have a division between Islam and some non-Islam religion. So much of a division in fact, they chopped off a chunk of northeast India and called it Pakistan, and a part of the northwest that they now call Bangladesh. They did this to rid themselves of the Muslim faith.
Or how about Israel? They have a division between Islamic terrorists and Jewish fascists.

Nigeria is about 54% Muslim and 46% Christian compared to India at 79.8% Hindu and 14.23% Muslim. Both India and Pakistan were founded at the same time.
