Does Ken have literal, diagnosed schizophrenia or is calling him a schizophrenic just alogging?
At some point in the past he said he was diagnosed. That's my understanding.
The autism bit is a-logging, though I'd be surprised if he didn't also legitimately suffer from autism.

High functioning autists often go their whole life undiagnosed. In most cases, they find it out when their kid have it. It's for the best that he does not have a kid and treat OF like his spouse and kid.
Sometimes if you already been diagnosed with a mental disorder, doctors won't diagnose certain other mental disorders. I'm not sure if that's the case with schizophrenia and autism. If it's not currently, it might've been 40 or 50 years ago. As is often the case, doctors stop when they feel they've found the answer, so even if Ken could have been diagnosed with both, his doctor might not have bothered. I'm not sure at what point in his life this diagnosis happened, but the field of drug therapy psychiatry was very young 50 years ago when he would have most likely shown the symptoms, late onset schizophrenia notwithstanding. Even if it was much more recent, psychiatric care in this country is and has always been a real shit show and people fall through the cracks all the time. So I'm not at all surprised.
